Green Award Foundation announced that the marine technologies company EDIT Automation, officially became a member of the Green Award network as an incentive provider, on 06 December 2017. Green Award scheme promotes safety, quality and environmental awareness in the shipping industry and aims to ensure that ships meet the highest standards.
EDIT manages projects regarding the manufacture, repairs and sales of marine & industrial automation systems, as well as sales, maintenance and calibration of marine environmental protection systems complying to the latest regulations aboard vessels and offshore facilities all over the world.
Additionally, EDIT trains crew and shore personnel on the use of automation and environmental protection systems.
Earlier in November, on 06 December, 2017, Green Award Chairman Mr Dimitrios Mattheou and Executive Director Mr Jan Fransen handed a symbolic Green Award plaque to Mr Markos A. Sigalas Managing Director of EDIT Automation marking the moment they officially became a member of the Green Award network as an incentive provider.
To ensure safety standards, EDIT Automation will replace any Oil Content Meter complying with MEPC60 (33)Regulation, with new unit FOCAS 15ppm Oil Content Meter by FELLOW KOGYO, complying with MEPC 107 (49)Regulation as well as various units that are in accordance with International Regulations for 14001 such as paperless recorders CMC 99 & 141 by SIMEX , as and inspections, services, repairs, calibrations of Automation Systems, in vessels’ annual survey or vessels’ dry dock and many others, Green Award concluded.
